Web Front End Developer

ServerCentral is seeking a senior level web front end developer for work on a multi-tenant customer portal. The ideal candidate would have 5+ years experience in web based applications development with a heavy focus on DOM/DHTML, javascript and CSS in a team environment and participated in all phases of product development.

Skills Required:

• Expert level knowledge of designing and implementing widgets and/or application UI in javascript DHTML/DOM.
• Experience with implementing AJAX methods and multithreading/eventing issues
• Familiarity with one or more Javascript-based toolkits and frameworks, i.e. jQuery, Dojo, Script.aculo.us, etc.
• Experience in building highly dynamic, cross-browser compatible web applications.
• Familiarity with version control (SVN, CVS, git, etc)

Pluses:

• Graphic design experience
• Perl and/or Template Toolkit
• Basic understanding of GNU/Linux and Apache.
• Knowledge of developing web services (REST, RPC, JSON, XML, SOAP, etc)
• Prior experience in the ISP, telecom, or hosting provider industry.
• Linux and Windows systems management experience
• Basic networking knowledge (ping, udp, tcp, snmp, routing, etc)
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Xen, KVM, Hyper-V)
• Experience with Cloud services (particularly IaaS) platforms.
• Experience with creating or integrating to billing systems
• Experience with RRD
