New Data Center Proves Popular Among
Chicago-Area Business Customers

ServerCentral’s new data center in Elk Grove Village, IL (DF-CH1) is proving popular with businesses—both in Chicago and across the country—looking to optimize and simplify colocation, disaster recovery and managed services. • Spacious 48U locking cabinets and private cages
  • An exceptional 210 watts of power capacity per square foot (compared to 150 watts or less in a majority of facilities)

ServerCentral is in the final stages of completing a SAS 70 Type II audit, in which the company has demonstrated appropriate security and safeguards when hosting or processing data belonging to customers. ServerCentral COO Daniel Brosk expects the audit, which covers operations at all ServerCentral data centers, to be completed in July.

“This audit is a confirmation of the stringent internal controls and security practices already in place at ServerCentral,” Brosk said.

ServerCentral New Home to SingleHop Data Center

ServerCentral welcomes managed hosting provider SingleHop to our DF-CH1 data center in Elk Grove Village, IL.

The $2.5 million agreement gives SingleHop a second facility in the Chicago area and marks the continuation of a long-term partnership between the two companies.

SingleHop CEO Zak Boca said ServerCentral’s data center capabilities would boost his business. “This facility wasn’t refit or re-engineered,” Boca said. “It was built from the ground up to anticipate high server density. It allows for our company to use all of our space and power. With 48U locking cabinets and the ability to more than adequately handle 12KW per cab, we’ll waste less money and resources, which in turn will keep our clients from paying for inefficiencies.”

ServerCentral CEO Jordan Lowe agrees. “The combination of a top-notch facility and our onsite staff’s expertise in hosting infrastructure gives SingleHop a decided advantage in the Chicago market,” he said.
