We specialize in Managed VMware

Not all workloads have the same cloud requirements. Some workloads, for compliance or security reasons, are best delivered via a private cloud. Others, for elasticity and disaster recovery reasons, are best delivered via a public cloud. At SCTG, we deliver both public and private managed VMware solutions that meet your needs.

Cloud monitoring

Real-time cloud performance graphs can be monitored from the customer portal. VMware clouds are also monitored by SCTG’s Network Operations Center (NOC). Should any issues or anomalies be detected, a qualified member of our NOC or Managed Services team will take corrective action and notify your team.

Cloud support

We completely manage both the hardware and the software tools used to deliver your cloud, including:

  • Virtualization platform
  • Hypervisor patching and updates
  • On-site hardware sparing and maintenance
  • Firmware patching and updates
  • 15-minute ticket response time

10-Gig connectivity between your gear and third-party clouds

24-hour cloud monitoring and support from certified engineers

100% VM uptime when you modify cloud resources

A familiar VMware user interface

Private cloud customers access VMware vCenter, while public cloud customers access VMware vCloud Director.

What exactly does SCTG manage?

We handle the entire infrastructure, including all hardware, the VMware virtualization platform, and the operating systems on your VMs.

What are common use cases for private vs. public VMware?

Private VMware is the right choice when security, compliance, and performance are top concerns.

Public VMware is ideal for existing customers that want to extend their services with us. They may have colocation cabinets already and want to use a public VMware cloud to spin up VMs for testing. Other times, they use our public VMware for disaster recovery. Maybe they have a private cloud with us in Chicago, and they deploy public clouds in Ashburn and San Jose as failover sites.

What operating systems do you support?

Linux, Windows, FreeBSD, virtual appliances, and any other operating system that’s legal.

How do I integrate a managed VMware cloud from SCTG with existing systems?

You can connect any managed VMware cloud to all of your existing gear and cloud(s), no matter where they live. Private VMware clouds directly connect to your existing physical infrastructure and to third-party clouds through direct, 10-Gbps cloud-connects. We can connect traditional dedicated servers, public clouds (ours and/or another provider’s), and private clouds together (hybrid cloud) — or multiple clouds from different providers (multi-cloud).

What compliance does SCTG support?

SCTG is a SOC 2 audited company and PCI-DSS compliant. Our annual SOC 2 audit serves as the foundation for helping customers satisfy vendor management needs and meet their own compliance requirements, including HIPAA.
